TOURNAMENT MODE — Par Culture

⚙️ One-Time Setup Needed

Live cross-device sync needs a free Firebase project connected first. Open tournament.html, search for YOUR_API_KEY near the top of the script, and paste in your Firebase project's config values (from the Firebase console → Project Settings → your web app). Takes about 5 minutes, no credit card required. Once it's filled in, this message disappears and the app goes live.

Until then, you can still preview how everything looks and flows below.

❓ How Tournament Mode Works

Host creates a tournament
Pick a name, the course's par for each hole, and Single or Team play. You'll get a short join code.

Share the code with players
Text it, say it out loud, write it on a whiteboard — however's easiest. Each player enters it on their own phone.

Players score their own round
After each hole, they set their strokes and tap Save — it uploads instantly, no refreshing needed.

Everyone watches the live leaderboard
Standings update automatically as scores come in. Great on a phone, even better on a TV using Display Mode.

Host ends the tournament when it's over
The leaderboard locks in as FINAL so the result can't change afterward.

Tournament Mode is free to use — just needs an internet connection, since scores sync live between everyone's devices.
